I have a new banner!

Yup, I have a new banner for my blog, finally! I've been thinking about it for a loooong time, but I'm always a bit slow, right?? this one really mirrors how I feel these days; full of joy and colour!
(btw did any of you collect my little pony's when your were little girls? the stickers used to come with the ponies, in the box, together with a brush...sigh* those plastic childhood memories)

I'm also knitting a lot know, nothing complicated, but I'm are these legwarmers for arms really called in english???? no clue, maybe someone can tell me?? anyway, I love making those, I always wear a pair, and yesterday I finished these cosy, stripey I've started similar ones in blue and turquise!

I also promised a photo of Totoro in the top of my christmas tree! well, here he is, king of the forest, right? he was very pleased with this position, and sad when I took the tree

finally, two new lay-outs I made last week. I'm really into make-it-yourself these days, I don't want thickers or ready-made embellishments, I make a lot myself. some paper and a few paperclips will do though hi hi
my melody is bought from my sweet friend yuriko's etsy shop!

I'm trying to start up a little etsy myself, will let you know as soon as it's up! have a beautiful weekend, and please, tell me about the arm-warmers, anyone...**

semi-new lay-outs!!

as I wrote earlier, I spend christmas eve scrapbooking! I celebrated with only my bunny, and it was a very good way to celebrate indeed, I would rather be home and relax, than going away to some family gathering I won't enjoy, not because my family is not very nice, but because I don't feel I have much in common with them, they ask too many questions, and there are noisy children everywhere, and I don't have a car, so I'm dependent on someone to take me home, not when I want to, but when they feel like it. I'd rather be home, with my little rabbit, and besides, it's only for a few hours. morning I spend with my boyfriend, eating candy and watching christmas movies on tv, then I meet with him again later in the evening, and we have cookies and relaxes with his family. and, how many get to scrapbook on christmas eve?

here's some of the lay-outs I made:

I put my lay-outs on my wall, and it makes me so happy!

hot hot: make your title with hama-beads, it makes such lovely letters you want to eat them!! this photo is taken in front a blue garage in little town Lenino in Ukraine!

I also learned to knit this christmas, after buying the coolest knitting instruction book ever, in Sweden. it's called Roliga Stickboken, and you can knit everything from this apple cover, to a granat, to slippers, to cabbage and onions, to underwear, and ducks, of course! I love it, will post a photo of it later. so, I had to learn how to knit, to make an apple cover for my sweet boyfriend for christmas!! and then, I had to scrapbook it!!

I don't remember if I already posted this one, but I made it earlier, on our kindergarden-crop I think....I love the photo, it's also from ukraine, and has been laying in my pile of photos, waiting for the right paper. here it is!! *hambly-love*

and in the end: I've been challenged! open the 6th folder and the 6th picture, post it in your blog and tell the story behind it. In my 6th folder, I found my birthday july 2006, this is one of my best friends Ann-Mari, eating barbecue in the hammock. she has put one of my party umbrellas in her hair. it was a great birthday, we celebrated it at trym's place because he has a big garden, and the weather stayed perfect, and I was very happy. I actually believe this was also the birthday where one of my other friends bought me lots of scrapbooking stuff....which made me start out this scrapbooking craze in the first place!! if it wasn't for her, I maybe wouldn't be scrapbooking!!
my friends are the best, I love you both a lot!!

Saturday, January 24, 2009's been a very long time...

hi everybody who's still reading my blog, and thank you for doing so!!
I won't even try to say anything about why I haven't been around for so long, I just haven't felt like being online so much...
December was as always superbusy, and on top of it all, I got sick, then well again, then sick, then well again...and felt really stressed by all the christmas gifts I was supposed to make:p

christmas eve I spent scrapbooking with my bunny, and my white christmas tree, with Totoro in the top of it ha ha will post a photo of it later!

in mid-december, I went to Stockholm, for architecture spotting and shopping, I love suburb architecture of the 50-ies and 60-ies, and Stockholm has tons of it! Oslo is so small, I have seen it all.... here's some photos, will hopefully post more... (there's some in my flickr also)

My shopping spree!! though it was snow and beautifully white in Oslo at this point, Stockholm was grey, dull and wet, I never saw sun or any daylight ( so it felt) for the four days I was there, so I tried to search for colours elsewhere! below is the cloths store Monkii!

suburb roof in suburb restaurant! how great to have a roof like this at home!

I also had my bunny back home for about a month, it was lovely, though my space is so small, he had to go back to my mum again. he's very happy there, as she is home all the time, and he can run free almost the entire day! is he cute or what? is he eatable or what? luuuurve, I'm melting to pieces for this bunny, I love him so much!

anyone for ruccola????
